A Little Personality!

After looking through my pictures today, I realized something about my Kylia. She has PERSONALITY!! Let me show you what I mean . . .

Kylia you are full of personality and life! I like your nutty side!

My Little Kneaders

As I began to prepare cinnamon rolls for a get-together, Adalie and Kylia both wanted to help. So, hands washed, up on the counter they climbed. They had never kneaded dough before, but I'd have to say they did a pretty good job! Notice the palms pressing beautifully into the dough? As Adalie continued kneading, Kylia admired the dusting of flour on her hands.
The girls were great help! And as you can see, the cinnamon rolls turned out beautifully.
Thank you ladies! You are becoming great bakers already!

While Mommy's Away the Children will Play!

Mommy was gone for the evening. The girls with daddy. I came home late and all were asleep. But in the morning I began to wonder, "What did daddy and the girls do all night?"

I Want to Be . . . Different

What makes a person begin to see themselves in a different light? What makes a little girl desire to look different, act different or be different? Just this last week I had both Adalie and Zoie share with me some of these desires. As I was putting on my make-up Adalie came into the room and said, "Mommy, I don't want to be seven. I want to be five or six because I was cute then. I want to be cute." And then later that same day, I told Zoie that she was cute (maybe this is where the above comment came from) and she said, "I don't want to be cute, I want to be cool! Because I am cool!!"

Well Adalie, you are cute and beautiful, precious and sweet, and you have such a wonderful heart. I am so proud of you and I love you enormously.
Zoie, you are perfectly cool! :) I'm sorry though chica, you are stinkin' cute. Mama loves you so much.
Oh Lord, help us to raise our children so they are always content with how you made them and expectant for all that you have for them. Help them to know that they are beautiful inside and out and that you made them perfectly.

The Chocolate High

Have you ever had a child so high on chocolate that you are amazed at the crazy energy pouring forth from their little bodies. Well, this happened to Adalie just last weekend. After enjoying a scrumptious dessert made by grandma, Adalie acted pretty normal. But then an hour and a half after putting her to bed, at 9:30 p.m. to be exact, I heard noise coming from the bedroom. As I walked in the room, Adalie was running in slow-motion declaring with elongated speech, "I h a v e s o m u c h e n e r g y!!!" Then her words picked up speed, "Mommy, can I run around the house ten times? Mommy, I'm not tired. Mommy, can I go play with grandpa?"

Five minutes later, "SNORE, SNORT, SNORE." Little girl came off her high.
